TRYING TO FIND A FUTURE

After a long wait the 3 Compact-Disc-album was released this week. It is currently available from Norman Records, Boomkat and Forced Exposure (for those of you in North America). The 3CD has distribution so it should be more widely available. Be in touch if you have any problems in finding a copy to purchase.

I have been receiving a number of emails about the availablity of the double-vinyl albums. Sadly i have no copies at all for direct sale of either the vinyls or the compact-discs. I am really sorry if you can't locate any of the vinyls, in Europe them seem to have sold out very quickly with only a few copies left in America now for purchase.

This has completely taken me by suprise as has the level of interest right now, many thanks as ever for your interest and support of my work.

MEMORIES LIVE LONGER THAN DREAMS

Thanks again for the support of the new releases, the response has been overwhelming this end, as i have also been moving flats here in Berlin it's meant that if you have emailed me and i havn't responded i will be responding to you as soon as i can.

The first and second double vinyl albums more or less sold out in record speed which shocks a humble boy like myself, i'm sorry if you missed them, the good news is the third and final double 12" in this series was released yesterday so if you want one of those then there is still a chance to grab one if you're in Europe from both Norman Records and Boomkat.

The 3CD version will now be released in November, a limited number of the 2CD version will be made available in December, there will be details about those online soon. A download version of the trilogy of double 12" vinyls will also be available in November.

If you pre-ordered any of the releases you should have received your copy of the 2CD album now (those were all signed), if you didn't then please get in touch with me so i can sort that out.

I will play two final shows this year, one in Paris at the Pompidou on Sunday the 1st of November and a final one at the Rhiz in Wien on the 22nd of December, so i hope to see you there. Full details of the shows will be posted at the haftw blog very soon.

WHEN WE PARTED MY HEART WANTED TO DIE

The first Leyland Kirby double vinyl from the "sadly, the future is no longer what it was" trilogy entitled "when we parted my heart wanted to die" is available to purchase now from Boomkat (Sold out now), with Norman Records and also Forced Exposure set to carry the release very soon.

It has been a long process creating the new releases, nothing was left to chance, i have worked with the best people in terms of production, manufacturing and also it comes housed in an amazing sleeve with artwork by my good friend Ivan Seal.

To those of you who pre-ordered many thanks, your copies have been sent out today so will arrive soon. Thanks as ever for your support as each sale is a real win these days and helps me create more new releases.

The second double vinyl will be released in two weeks time.

THE CARETAKER LONG PLAYING ALBUM IS OUT NOW
August 18th, 2009

The Caretaker vinyl album "persistent repetition of phrases" is now available, it was released on August the 13th and currently is available from Boomkat (Sold out now) and Norman Records (Sold out now) with more shops likely to stock this as it has distribution. If you are in North America Forced Exposure are carrying the LP (Sold out now). It's limited to just four-hundred copies only and looks and sounds amazing thanks to the stunning artwork of Ivan Seal and the cut by Lupo at Dubplates and Mastering here in Berlin.

Initially when the audio was made for this release back in 2007 it was made for the long-playing-vinyl format, so finally it has found its way home.

AUDIO PREVIEWS UPLOADED FOR ALL NEW RELEASES

I hope i find you well right now and enjoying the last of the Summer days, soon the nights will be closing in as Winter fast approaches once again.

First up i have added two exclusive new tracks to the audio player here,
"I knew that was the end" and "on top of some world or another". They are perfect for these warm lazy days of sunshine cutting through the haze.

From today you can also find audio previews of my new long-playing trilogy of releases, simply click on any of the new releases and you can stream in tracks to help you preview each upcoming release.

I know you have all been waiting patiently for the new releases, well they have all been manufactured now and release dates have been set for everything.

Those of you who pre-ordered will be contacted directly by me in the next week or so about when you can expect everything you ordered to arrive.

A new Email list has also been set up, there will be a mailout later this week with access to some exclusive mixes of some of the new works which are not available on any of the releases.

NEW RELEASES ALMOST THERE

The final work is underway right now in completing the new
Leyland Kirby trilogy "sadly, the future is no longer what it was".

The artwork has been finished and the three double vinyl albums will be cut by the Dubplates and Mastering team here in Berlin very soon.

There is also a three compact disc version of this release which will be available after all of the vinyl albums have been released and a double compact disc version (which features many bonus tracks) for friends, those who pre-ordered the releases and long standing supporters of the work i have done as V/Vm, V/Vm Test, The Caretaker and The Stranger.

THE CARETAKER 6CD BOX SET AVAILABLE NOW

"Theoretically pure anterograde amnesia" the six compact-disc box set by The Caretaker is now available again after being repressed. It has been pressed in a final edition of just five hundred copies and is available for £25.00 postage paid anywhere in the World from the shop. When you purchase the box-set you will also be sent links to the entire release as a high quality MP3 download as part of your purchase.

LEYLAND KIRBY ALBUM TRILOGY ON THE WAY

Recording for "sadly, the future is no longer what it was" has gone exceptionally well and the job right now is in piecing together this new release which will form part one of a trilogy of releases which will appear throughout the year. If you have pre-ordered the album on either
compact-disc or double-vinyl, then many thanks. I expect everything to be ready to ship to you in around one months time.

As a bonus i have made available four preview tracks for streaming here in full. I hope you enjoy them, i would also love it if you leave feedback about them at the blog.
